Course Overview:

‍This introductory course provides 25 hours of instruction on essential Islamic teachings related to purification and worship practices. Key topics include the procedures for ablution (wudu) and ritual bathing (ghusl), as well as alternatives like dry ablution (tayammum) in special circumstances. The course also covers the legal rulings for prayer, including its conditions, etiquette, and specific cases such as wiping over socks and the prostration of forgetfulness (sujood sahw). Additional subjects include the rules for congregational prayers, making up missed prayers, and the special considerations for travelers and Friday prayers. The curriculum also explores special prayers for occasions such as Eid and Taraweeh, fasting obligations, expiations (kaffarah), and compensating for missed fasts. It concludes with an exploration of the Prophetic guidance related to religious worship.

level 1: Basic Islamic Jurisprudence for Beginners

This module aims to simplify Islamic legal rulings for beginners and young learners. The curriculum covers:

• Islamic Cleanliness: Highlights the importance of physical and spiritual purity, detailing what constitutes cleanliness and its significance for prayer.
• Ritual Purification and Prayer Preparation: Provides guidance on achieving ritual purity through ablution (Wudu), ritual bathing (Ghusl), and dry ablution (Tayammum) when water is unavailable, ensuring readiness for prayer in all situations.
• Prayer Conduct and Etiquette: Explores the proper performance of prayers, the significance of praying on time, the benefits of congregational prayer, and the rules for compensating for missed prayers. Special focus is given to Fridays, Ramadan, Eid, and related practices, including fasting.
